It was 6 years ago that I joined the SIE program not knowing that I would create some of my best memories and best friends there. I've never been a part of a team before I joined cheer and I'm glad I was able to experience and learn what a "team" is. Being a part of a team is my favorite part about cheering. When your going on the mat to compete you're not going out there for yourself, your going out there for your team to show all the hard work you've done for the past 8-9 months, to show the amazing strengths/bonds you have as a team. When I go I onto the mat, I don't think about winning I think about wanting to make my teammates proud, and that's what encourages me to continue to push myself each and everyday.

My favorite cheering experience was last year when I was able to double team for the "Rubies" & "Amethyst" I loved being there everyday and I was excited to see what things each team would be working on. Even though this year I only cheer for the SIE Amethyst, the Rubies team still has a special place in my heart, and I love seeing them at the beginning of my practices working hard.

I'd like to thank the SIE coaching staff for always doing the best they can. Whether it be, making new touches to the routine, taking us to great places for competition, pushing us to do our best, staying later than we were supposed to for practices, to let us get that extra 5 minutes to work on something, cheering us on every time we got a new skill, laughing with us and making jokes during practices, and much more. My experience at SIE has been the best I could of ever imagined and it wouldn't of been the same without my amazing coaches, and teammates, so thank you for each and everyday. I can't wait for many more years to come.
